Does anyone out there call their pets by their given name, or does everyone call them by silly nicknames like I do. The list is as follows. My oldest is my eight year old fat tabby cat named Cleo (Cleopatra). Her nicknames are Cleezy Mageezee, Cliz, Clizerous, Clizard and Meelosh (I know, it's terrible). My next girl is my seven year old rescue Chihuahua. Her given name is Tootsie Consuela Maria Lopez. Her nicknames are Tootsie Lopez Never Say Nopez (she had five litters, the natural way), Toods (like woods), Toots (like boots, and like the first part of her name), Toodlum ( a combo between Tootsie and hoodlum), Tacos, Beans, Beaner, Tootie Marinkia (my Mom calls her this) Tooter (like shooter), Princessa and Beeps. My baby is Gris - Gris, my soon to be year old Whippet. Her name that I put on her papers is Spellbound's Gris - Gris. Her nicknames are Greasy, Grease ball, Grease Wad, Greasy Cheese (usually used when I call her and Tootsie, as in "Greasy Cheese and Beans"), Peach, Princess, Grizzy, and Jenny. What's everyone else got?

Andy is Andrew, Andy Rooney, Andy Roon, Pumpkin

Molly is Molly Bean, Mollina, Bean, Beaner

My first grey is named Grigio--it's the Italian word for grey. I call him Grig, Greedle-Weedle, Poo, Pood
My other grey is names Gianna--it's the Italian name for Jenna--her racing name. I call her Gigi, Gianna-Bannana, Gianni-Bannani
My whippey is named Matilda Sue. I call her Matildy-Wildy, Matilder, and when she is really bad--Matilda Susan.
My other whippey is named Charlie Ollie. I call him Charlie-Warlie, Charles, Mr. Monkey Man, and when he is really bad--Charles Oliver.

Reddi= Ray Ray, Reddi Roo, Rooster,Sweet Boy,Pig Fart ( don't ask), Fat Boy.
Jet= Ju Ju Be, Jooge( sounds like scrooge), Pooge ( also sounds like scrooge),Boozee, Jet Jet.
I am happy to say that 90% of these names were created by their mother, not me- except Fat boy and Pig fart.

We use their real names sometimes, but probably the nicknames just as often!

Joey= JoJo, Mojo JoJo, Mo, Nasty Li'l Poop Eater, etc

Zipp= Zipper, Zipper Dipper Doodle Do, Zipper Do, Dip-Dip, Zippy, etc.

Leggs= Leggers, Legger Begger, Lump, and most often "Poo" or "PooPoo"

Louie= Lou, Loogie, Woowee, OogyBoogy, and Poop Monster

Toby= Mr. Scraggle Tooth, Mr. Growly, Growly Pants

And then there's the foster dogs LOL

Nina= Nina Weiner

Harry= Mr. Harry Harry Monster or just Monster

I think Turner is the only one that doesn't have a nickname... and that's just weird LOL

P.S. Yes, I do realize half my dogs have poop related nicknames LOL

Thats ok, because poop is so funny. I laugh at it more the older that I get. This is even funnier because Tootsie Lopez just crapped on the floor as I wrote the first line of this. My husband missed her call on that one. Anyhoo, he reminded me of some names that I forgort. Gris - Gris is also Greegis Kahn, Greegs and Dopey. We hardly ever call them by their real names !

Shania is also known as Noodle,granma,sha-noop,coke bear,cookie bear,Nya-ah,sha-noodle. Phantom is Phan-dog,P-doggy,P-dog,and the inevitable Phanny. Not too much for Chelo,other than Che,but since the breeders named him Marcello,I guess even Chelo is a nickname!

Alex : Bug, Bo-Balex (via the name game) - He will come to all / any name I use

Murphy: Blurphy, Bunny, Punkin' - He doesnt respond to even his own name - He thinks he is a cat sometimes.

Jasper: JasperCat, JasperPants - also responds to any name.

zepher is the dude,dudeders,dudely,mr slinky dude,mr stretchy stretchy dude,lebowsky dog,mr cool,the chill man,manta ray(from hubby)waterbed hog,stinky butt,big dork,mr clutz and poop eater.reggie is the regg,the little dude,little playboy,heff,little slinky dude,little stretchy stretchy dude,shark(hubby again)king of toys,little stinky butt,couch hog,blanket dog,little dork,little pig,blond sausage,the dog that ate wells(because he is always looking for food)and register.

Dogs:

Xena is usually Xena or "Xena girl", Echo is often called "Pisspot" (that's the one I use the most, I think she has a dimebag for a bladder), "Tyrant" (she tries to run everyone else), "You Little Sh**" (see previous ), and I think a couple of other names that I can't remember right now Buddy is sometimes "Bud-Bud" or "Buddy-Bud".

Cats:

T.C. - "Teecer"; Thumper - "Fatso" usually, or "Thump-Thump"; Samantha - "Sam" (I know that's not silly, just a nickname); Mojo - "Moj-Moj".

We have lots of nicknames for these two. Some come and go, others have been around a bit.

Jack - Jackillac, Jackity Jack Attack, Jack Jack, Jacky Bear, Puppydoodle, Puppydoo, Buddy, Bad Boy, Mr. Poo Breath, Pee Paws, Cat Dog
Freya - Big Momma, Double stuff, Tons of Fun, Freyadoodle, Big Dummy, The Dolphin (she makes noises that sound like whistles and clicks in protest of not being allowed to do things)

The worst part about Freya's nicknames is that she isn't even close to being overweight. She just looks that way standing next to Jack.

All my dogs and some of my cats have their own song or two. We use to compose songs while walking dogs at night....now I compose them on my motorcycle. I know it has been a good ride if I come up with a whole song. For example....

omg we re worded jingle bells while out searching for my husbands dog on christmas eve years ago. this is it.dashing through the snow in a 4 wheeled subaru or the fields we go chaseing mooses to(her name was kelly sue moose) bells on beanies tail(manx cat we had,no tail)make her spirit bright oh what fun it is to ride in a 4 wheeled subaru.jingle bells beenies tail jingle all the way.i reworded the other day i met a bear. it goes. the other day,i met a dog,in the waterbed,in my bedroom he looked at me,i looked at him,he stared me down,i stared right back,he said to me,why don't u throw that toy,down the hall and so i did.the moral of the story is throw the dam toy down the hall. hehehe

Sir Lancelot is Lance, pup pup, mama's big baby boy, pumpkin. Dad calls him My Buddy.
Rafael is Raffie, sweetie, and mama's little baby boy.
Antonio is Tony, Toto, Watch Dog Tony.
Gabriella is Gabbie, mama's sugar faced little girl.
Angelena is Angel and I sing You are My Sunshine to her.
Cleopatra is Cleo, mama's big baby girl, and girlie girl.

Rescue's are Greycie no other names for her, and Morgan is Morgie.

Cat is Foxy, nickname is Foxer.

Mine never get called by their given names

BLue is boodycoos or boudoir
Pip is pippopotamus (or ratboy depending on his behaviour)

even the horses are subjected to it

Patches = lala
SKittles = schizo
